U-14 Roinn B HC Semi-Final Report

The eagerly awaited u-14 Roinn B Hurling Championship Semi-Final took place in Tullaroan on the 4th October last. Conditions were ideal and a large contingent of supporters looked forward to a competitive encounter with near neighbours, John Lockes of Callan.
John Lockes got off the mark quickly with two points from placed balls. A lovely point from nippy corner forward Paddy Brennan saw GBC get on the score-board which was quickly followed by a similar score from Oisín Egan. Read more
All Ireland Forecast the Score WINNER
Congratulations to Shane Butler (Pottlerath) who was the lucky winner of the €100 prize for predicting the correct score for the All-Ireland hurling replay. He was the only person to guess the score, 2-17 to 2-14. Rhonda Malone won the sellers prize of €25. A huge thank you to everyone who bought lines and to all who sold the cards.
Camogie Whist Drives
The whist drives will be starting back up on Friday the 10th October at 8.30pm in Palmerstown. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Intermediate camogie through to county semi final
Well done to our intermediates on getting through to the county semi final. They played Clara in a very tough quarter final last Sunday 28th September.
From the throw in it was a tough, high intensity game. Clara were the first on the scoreboard with a point from their half forward line. Serious work from midfielders Aisling Dunphy and Laura Hennessy and the half back line meant the forwards were getting plenty of ball and the first score came from Laureena Murphy in the 8th minute. U-16 girls win the double!!
Huge congratulations to our u-16 camogie team who have won the Roinn B county final!! The game took place in the James Stephens grounds on the Kells road on Friday evening the 26th September.
They beat Danesfort on a scoreline of 2-3 to 1-5. The girls have now won the double after winning the league nine weeks ago. This gave them the confidence they needed going into the final and they were well prepared for the game. Read more
U12 Conahy Tournament 2014
Under 16 Hurling League Quarter Final, 23/09/14
Graigue Ballycallan under 16’s played out an entertaining league quarter final defeating arch rivals Tullaroan on a full-time score-line of 4-16 to 1-9 in Kilmanagh last Tuesday. Following a county semi-final victory over Barrow Rangers just three days previously, G.B.C stepped onto the field in confident mood. Read more

Under 14 Hurling Championship Quarter Final, GBC V Conahy Shamrocks, 13/09/2014

On Saturday 13th of September, following a late switch of venue to the James Stephen’s complex on the Kells road, GBC under 14 team took on Conahy Shamrocks in glorious sunshine. The exchanges were fairly even in the opening half, with Killian Egan commanding the centre back position while his counterpart for Conahy did likewise. Read more
