Intermediate Hurling Semi-final, 26/10/14
A wet and windy Nowlan park was the venue, GBC and St. Patrick’s Ballyragget the contestants, in this Intermediate Hurling semi-final. Playing into a gale in the opening half, GBC found scores very hard to come by and a point from play each from Eddie Brennan and Philly Cahill was a worrying sight on the half time scoreboard. Ballyragget had eight points on the board, most of them from frees and our only hope was that the breeze might help to produce a GBC fight back. Read more
U14 Roinn B County Final Saturday 18/10/2014
Report by Philomena Brennan
The eagerly awaited Roinn B Hurling County Final took place in John Locke Park, Callan on Saturday last. The Graigue-Ballycallan boys have been on the road since their first training session in late February and up to their County Final appearance had played nearly forty games, between the League, Championship, tournaments and challenges. Throughout the year, under the stewardship of their management team the boys made great progress and through sheer hard work, dedication and no small amount of self-belief they earned the right to represent the club in the championship final.
Intermediate Hurling Quarter Final, 12/10/14.
Graigue Ballycallan’s Intermediate team returned to Palmerstown to face Thomastown on Sunday afternoon last with the memory of last year’s disappointment at the same venue still lingering. Philly Cahill had three unanswered points on the board from frees within five minutes, but GBC’s hard work was cancelled out on seven minutes, when John Joe Farrell picked up possession on the twenty-one yard line and slotted home a goal. Thomastown added three unanswered points, before Philly steadied the ship with a pointed free, GBC 0-4, Thomastown 1-3. Read more

Under 16 Roinn B County Final 11/10/14
The Graigue Ballycallan under 16 squad went to Freshford on Saturday last with a dream of entering the history books; they returned to Tom Ryall Park that night with a memory that will last a lifetime.
Galmoy/Windgap started briskly and had three unanswered points on the board within four minutes. The GBC boys didn’t panic and when Ciarán Hogan got possession on the edge of the square, he gave the goalie no chance. Read more
