St. Brigid’s camogie club would like to thank everyone who took part in and supported our All-Ireland score forecast competition. As there was no correct prediction for the score a draw was made to select the winner by Garda Adrian Tobin. James O’Connor was the winner of the €100 prize and Ruth and Kate Purcell won the sellers prize of €50. Congratulations to all!
Well done to our Intermediate camogie team who beat a tough Tullaroan side in the League Final on Saturday 29th August in Clara. The girls proved too strong though and showed great determination and nerve to come out on top. A huge thank you to all who came to support the girls on the day, it was fantastic to see such a great crowd. Thankfully, the weather held up for the duration of the game and there was some great displays of hurling throughout. Read more

The Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club and St. Brigid’s Camogie Club annual Family Fun Day took place on the 23rd August last. For several weeks coming up to the event, countless numbers of club volunteers worked tirelessly in preparation for what is now a well established and much anticipated local event. In the days prior to the 23rd, meteorologists, both local and national were predicting weather, which ranged from showers to tropical downpours!. Well done to the under 10’s who travelled to Tullaroan last Sunday. They played two matches and were victorious in both. In the first game the boys played Galmoy. They opened up a commanding lead with Elliot Teehan(3-1) and Jeff Neary(2-2) to the fore with scores. GBC were solid in defence with Sean Roberts and Ryan Corcoran keeping the Galmoy attack’s at bay. The boys continued to dominate in the second half which saw Sean Roberts score 3 goals. The boys won well on a scoreline 11-10 to 2–4 and set up a second match against Tullaroan. Read more
