3rd Level Colleges Freshers All-Ireland
Congrats to Padraig ‘Podge’ Dunphy who brought an All-Ireland Freshers Third Level Colleges Medal back to the parish yesterday. Representing CIT they beat DCU in the final on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-13!

Concussion in Sport Talk
Aut Even Hospital are hosting a talk on Concussion in Sport in the Ormonde Hotel, Kilkenny on Thursday March 3rd 2016 at 7.30pm. The event is free of charge and is aimed at sports coaches, teachers, trainers or the sport enthusiast. Guest speakers on the night are Dr Willie Stewart (Consultant Neuropathologist from Southern General Hospital, Glasgow), Alan Quinlan (ex-Munster & Ireland), Kevin McLaughlin (ex-Leinster & Ireland), Henry Shefflin (10 times All Ireland Wining hurler!) and Rena Buckley (winner of 16 All-Ireland medals). U10 Hurler of the week – 20 Feb 2016
Our U10’s returned to trainng last Saturday for 5 weeks indoor hurling at Wallslough Arena. This year we have a panel of 17 and there was little sign of rustiness as they were put through their paces for the hour. Well done Christopher Mahony, this week’s Hurler of the Week!
Leinster Senior Scór 2016
Our Ballad Group and John Dunphy gave a fantastic performance tonight in Birr, Co Offally representing Kilkenny in Scor 2016.
Unfortunately we did not qualify for the Leinster Final.
Well done Guys you did the parish very proud.

The Late Billy Malone – An Appreciation
Recently the Graigue Ballycallan GAA Club were saddened to hear of the passing of Club Trustee Billy Malone.
Billy was elected one of the club’s trustees in 1990 shortly after the club purchased the land which was developed as the club’s grounds and officially opened in May 1997.
A dear friend and neighbour to all, Billy will be fondly remembered for his invaluable contribution to St. Brigids Camogie Club over many years. Read more
Camogie Whist Drive 12/02/16
The latest whist drive in aid of St. Brigid’s Camogie Club took place in the usual Palmerstown venue on Friday 12th February. Eight tables took part. Thank you to all who supported the night in any way, those who donated prizes and helped in the kitchen. Well done to our winners.
