U16 Roinn B HL Round 2 – 3/4/2017 – GBC v Tulloger Rosbercon

Report by Martin Delahunty
Graigue Ballycallan 1-13        Tullogher Rosbercon 1-6
Graigue Ballycallan hosted southern club Tullogher Rosbercon on Monday evening and done enough to collect the 2 League points on offer on the night. The game was played in very difficult conditions with a strong swirling breeze and persistent showers making it very difficult for both teams to get any kind of flow to their game. The local boys played wind assisted in the first half and got off to a swift start with some fine individual scores from Oisín Egan, John Muldowney and Scott Lawlor and led 6 points to no score 15 mins in.  A mix up in the Tullogher defence then led to a fortuitous goal and the lads eventually went into the break 1-10 to 2 points in front. Report by Martin Delahunty
Graigue Ballycallan 6-14         Galmoy/Windgap  0-7
Graigue Ballycallan U16’s got their League campaign off to a bright start with a comprehensive victory over Galmoy/Windgap on Monday evening in Tom Ryall Park.
The game was played in ideal conditions after a nice break in the weather, the pitch had recovered nicely and this no doubt led to the very high standard of hurling on the night. This group have a busy campaign with 4 more League games to be played within the next 3 weeks so will need to keep up the good attendance at training and are looking forward to injured players Kevin Ging and Brendan Dunne rejoining the panel soon once fully fit.
