League win for Kilkenny & Aisling

Well done to Aisling Dunphy and the Kilkenny Senior Camogie team on winning the League Final on Sunday 23rd April for a second year in a row. Final score Kilkenny 2-7 Cork 0-10. Aisling had a great game covering a serious amount of ground as usual at midfield. She also got a point from play so well done Aisling from all in the club!

U16 camogie league vs James Stephens 21/4/17

Our U16’s played their first game of the year on Friday 21st April in Kells Rd against a good James Stephens side. From the whistle the girls were determined and the hardworking Tara Ronan started off the scoring in the 4th minute with a point from play. James Stephens replied with a goal and a point but the girls bounced back and Katie Brennan scored a goal of her own. Read more

Feile Sponsored walk

St. Brigid’s Camogie Club will be holding a Féile fundraising sponsored walk in Aughtanee Wood on Sunday May 7th at 12 noon. The girls will be selling lines on their sponsorship cards so please support them as best you can. Everyone welcome to an enjoyable walk around the wood!

U16 Roinn B HL Round 4 – Monday 17/04/2017 – GBC v Lisdowney

Graigue Ballycallan 1-13       Lisdowney 0-10
Graigue Ballycallan U16s travelled north on Bank holiday Monday evening to play Lisdowney in Round 4 of their league campaign. The players knew what was in store as they had competed in some classic encounters in years gone by and were well prepared for the challenge ahead. Quick to start we created some impressive plays and opened up a five point advantage with 15 mins played, thanks to tidy shooting from Scott Lawlor, Jack Butler and Oisín Egan. Read more

St Brigid’s Camogie Club is celebrating 40 years in existance this year.
To mark this momentus occcasion for the club, we are organising a night of nostalgia and celebration for all the members past and present of the club’s 40 years history.

U16 Roinn B Hurling League – 7/04/2017 – GBC v Tullaroan

Graigue Ballycallan 3-14          Tullaroan  2-12

Graigue Ballycallan ran out comfortable winners against neighbours Tullaroan on Friday evening in splendid sunshine. The game was played in true sporting style in ideal conditions and Graigue were quick off the mark and registered some well worked scores through Oisín Egan, Scott Lawlor and Jack Butler. After 15 minutes they had raced into an 8 point lead and held this advantage to the break. The mentors who are always keen to use their panel made some switches and Sam, Bill, Mark and Euan joined the fray in the second half and no doubt will give Philly and Tommy plenty of headaches come team selection in the coming weeks with 3 league games to play.
