U8 Freshford blitz – Saturday 22/07/2017
This morning 10 of our U8 girls travelled to Freshford for their 3rd Go Games of the summer. They played 3 games against Naomh Brid, Freshford and Emeralds.
From start to finish in each game these little bravehearts played their hearts out to win. And win they did, in 2 out of 3 games. Again, as with their last Go Games they played for each other and their club and done us proud once again. Given the age profile of this team it was a tremendous morning’s work. Again well done girls! The next Go Games will be at home in Kilmanagh in late August.

MINOR NEWS
Report by Philomena Brennan
The long awaited minor season kicked off on the 6th July last. A myriad of circumstances beyond the management’s control this year had seen serious disruption to their training plans for this group of players. However, they put this behind them as their match against town side Dicksboro opened. A very strong first half display saw them take a six point lead into the break. However this lead was to prove short-lived and an improved Dicksboro ran out worthy winners at the end.
