After a great victory against St. Lachtain’s, GBC travelled to St. John’s Park with a quiet confidence to face League Champions Thomastown in the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Quarter Final. Conditions were more akin to a July evening and the conditions most definitely lent themselves to a great game of hurling. Hard luck to the Kilkenny Senior Camogie team and Aisling Dunphy on All-Ireland day last Sunday 10th September, unlucky not to come away with the win in the end after a hard fought second half. Aisling had a brilliant game in half back and did us all very proud!
It wasn’t all negative news on the day though as Aisling was named on the Sunday Game Team of the Year at half back. A great achievement which is rightly deserved! Congratulations Aisling!
Also, congratulations to our Feile friends Gailltir of Waterford who won the squad goals final at half time.
