Graigue Ballycallan U17’s had a very productive year where they reached the Quarter Final of the Championship against Piltown and a League Shield Final against The Rower Inistioge. Unfortunately results didn’t go our way either day but the lads gave it 100%.

Our Under 15 hurlers battled hard and bravely throughout every game contested this year. The League saw a mixed range of results ranging from wet and miserable conditions in Glenmore and Kilmacow to a dazzling summer performance in Paulstown.

U21 Roinn B County Final – Sunday 16 December 2018
We would like to wish our U21 hurlers and management team the very best of luck in the Roinn B County final this weekend. They take on Bennettsbridge at 1.30pm in Nowlan Park. It would be a fantastic finish to 2018 if the boys could bring home more silverware! Please come out and give them your support!
St Brigids Camogie club AGM 8/12/18
St. Brigid’s Camogie Club AGM took place on Saturday the 8th of December 2018.
The chairman John Cahill congratulated and thanked the players, management and mentors of all the camogie team especially the U14 and U16 teams on their success throughout the year. Also congratulations was given to the Senior Camogie team on winning the Leinster league in the spring. Congratulations were wished to all the girls that represented St. Brigid’s Camogie Club at county Intermediate level, underage squads, national Féile competition and school’s competitions. The future is bright for camogie in our parish.

Leinster Intermediate Hurling Final – Saturday 1st December 2018
What a weekend….Graigue Ballycallan are Leinster Champions after defeating Portlaoise in the Leinster Intermediate Club Final on Saturday 1st December. Our club and parish are so proud of this whole panel of players who have worked so hard this year and are now reaping the rewards, well done and congratulations to the players and management for giving us a year to remember and we look forward to the All Ireland Semi Final on 19th January 2019 where we will meet Charliville of Cork.

This weeks fixtures
We have a very busy weekend of hurling coming up.
First up on Saturday 1st December we take on Portlaoise in the AIB Intermediate Hurling Championship Leinster Final. Throw-in is 1.45pm in Nowlan Park and we would like to wish the players and management team the best of luck and hopefully bring some more silverware back to the parish.
On Sunday our Junior B Hurlers will travel to Kileedy GAA Club in Limerick to take on Oylegate Glenbrien of Wexford in the Junior B Hurling Series Leinster Semi Final. Throw-in is 2pm and we would like to wish players and management the best of luck.
U13 Year End Report
What a year for this special group of players and the club overall.
We started back in January in Ballycallan Hall with Adrian Landy putting the lads through their paces over a ten week period. We started playing football in February and won the Roinn B Football Championship beating Barrow Rangers, Glenmore and Clara in the final. Read more
JJ Kavanagh & Sons U21 B QF – 24/11/2018
In very heavy under foot conditions in Mullinavat last Saturday, GBC played the Quarter Final of the U21 Roinn B Championship. Their opponents opened the game strongly and took the GBC side by surprise with two early well taken goals. On balance Mullinavat were worthy of their one point lead at the break.

Junior Scór – Saturday 24th November 2018
Our club was very well represented in the Junior Scór which was held in Langtons on Saturday 24th November. We had 3 acts in the competition – the Trad group of Chloe Teehan, Joanne Brennan, Robbie Tector, Frank McCluskey, Michael Tynan and Emily Tynan, The Table Quiz team of Frank McCluskey, Robbie Tector and Michael Tynan and in the Solo singing competition we had Molly Conroy. All acts performed brilliantly with 2 acts coming 1st in their category, these acts will now go forward to the Leinster competition. Big congrats to Molly Conroy winner of the Solo singing and Frank McCluskey, Robbie Tector and Michael Tynan, winners of the Table Quiz and we wish them the very best in the Leinster competition!
