GBC U13’s travelled to Piltown to play our final league game on 26th July. Again GBC got off to a poor start conceding 1-3 before we eventually got on the scoreboard after 15 minutes. Our backs began to get on top which allowed more possession for the forwards, both sides traded points for the remaining half . HT Score: Piltown 1-7, GBC 0-5. The 2nd half was evenly balanced when Piltown’s No.14 won possession on the edge of the square and sent an unstoppable shot to the net with 7 minutes remaining. At the other end Piltown’s keeper pulled off two point blank saves to deny us a goal. Overall Piltown were a stronger/balanced team and ran out deserving winners. FT Score: Piltown 2-13, GBC 0-11. Family Fun Day – Sunday 11th August 2019
Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club and St. Brigid’s Camogie Club are holding their Annual Family Fun Day and Firewood Auction on Sunday 11th August 2019 in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh. This is one of the Club’s main fundraisers and all proceeds go towards our running costs. This year we will have all the usual attractions, Under-Age Hurling and Camogie blitz, sports events, cross-bar challenge and of course the ever popular “Where will Winnie Pooh”. Read more
U13 B Hurling League 6th Round – GBC v Danesfort – 23/07/2019
GBC U13’s made the short journey to Danesfort last Tuesday to play undefeated and League leaders Danesfort in Round 6 of the Roinn B League. The home side flew out of the traps hitting our boys with 3 goals in the opening quarter. GBC worked their way back into the match with some well worked points to only trail two points at half time: GBC 0-10, Danesfort 3-3.

U10 Camogie Blitz – Castlecomer – 20/07/2019
Well done to our Under 10 girls who came home with 2 great wins after a great morning in Castlecomer. The girls all played so well, all of the hard work they have put in at training really showed! There was great passing which lead to some good scores. We are so proud of them!

U13 B Hurling League, 5th Round – 19/07/2019
GBC U13’s made the journey south last Tuesday to play Tullogher Rosbercon in Round 5 of the Roinn B Hurling League. The home side started brightly scoring 1-2 in the opening 5 minutes, our boys worked hard to get themselves back into the match and only trailed by 3 points nearing the end of the first half only to concede 1-1 on the stroke of half time. Half Time GBC 0-4, Tullogher 2-5.
