The annual Mary McGrath tablequiz in aid of St. Brigid’s camogie club will take place on Holy Thursday the 17th of April. It will take place in The Pound Ballycallan at 9.30pm. A raffle will take place on the night. All welcome!

GBC u10s got their hurling season off to a good start this morning in Kilmanagh in four very entertaining matches against strong opposition in Emeralds and Johnstown. Graigue Ballycallan fielded two teams, Blue and White. Read more
North Junior A Hurling League Round 1 – 05/04/14
Graigue Ballycallan 2-23 Fenians 1-10
GBC and the Fenians played in the first round of the North Junior A hurling league in Tom Ryall Park on Saturday. The home side played with the wind in the first half and started well with 3 points from play from Gearoid Cleere, but despite the best efforts of the full forward line, the ball seemed determined to avoid the back of the net. However, a brace of points each from Gearoid Murphy, Willie O’Connor and Philly Cahill and a fourth from Gearoid Cleere from a free left GBC ahead by 13 points to 3 at half time. Read more
First day of training!
U16 Hurling League Round 1 – 04/04/14
GBC U16s played Piltown in the first round of the league on Friday evening. Playing against a slight breeze, GBC opened the scoring with a point from play from Sean Ryan in the first minute. Piltown pointed three frees before Dylan Lanigan steadied the ship with a good point from play. Piltown’s goalkeeper pointed a long range free, putting them ahead, four points to two. Their full forward broke through the GBC defence and fired a shot on goal from close range. Bill Cuddihy brought of very good reflex save and the resultant 65 was pointed.

All Ireland Colleges Hurling Final
North Junior B Hurling League Rd 1 30/03/14
Graigue Ballycallan opened the scoring with a well taken point from Philip Heafey. After a couple of good saves from Padraig Dunphy, sustained pressure from Conahy led to an early goal. Graigue responded well and top class goals from Brendan Hayes and James Smith, as well as points from Philip Heafey (2), Paddy Kennedy (2) and Shane Murphy, left the score at half time 2-6 to 1-6 in favour of the home side.
