U14 Roinn B Football League – GBC v Mullinavat – 12/2/2017

Report by P J Trant

The U14s travelled to Mullinavat on a bitter Sunday morning to begin their season. Aided by the wind in the first half, the boys kept the Mullinavat boys scoreless whilst also racking up an impressive 3-6.
In the second half Billy Egan played the sweeper role as the Graigue boys packed the defence to protect their lead against a Mullinavat onslaught. It never came as the full back line held firm with great support from the half back and midfielders, Despite the defensive efforts a penalty was awarded to Mullinavat but was saved well.
