MINOR CAMOIGE 2019 was always going to be a big ask as we were now in ROINN A after our great success in beating Thomastown in U16 Roinn A Final in 2018. The challenge to be competitive was made more difficult as we only had one girl up to the age of 18. Not withstanding that we had a bunch of girls who had shown great character over the past few years. So Minor 2019 would be a challenge, a year of learning and a year of maintaining our competitiveness.
Congratulations to our fantastic U12 team who were victorious in their mini-league final on Tuesday 24th September.
They faced John Lockes, who they had beaten earlier in the year, in what turned out to be a great game of camogie in Windgap in poor weather conditions. Read more
Congratulations to our U12 team who are through to the final after a fantastic win over Dicksboro in the Semi Final last Friday 13th September. It was a superb display of camogie with fierce defending from the backs and goalie and serious scoring from all of our forwards. The determination and workrate that all players put in was phenomenal.
Final score: 9-6 to 3-2.
Scorers: Nicola Kenny 2-1, Siobhan Kenny 2-1, Joanne Brennan 2-0, Katie Ronan 2-1, Roisin Foley 1-0, Tara Cody 0-2, Mollie Conroy 0-1.
Thank you very much to all who came to support the girls. They now hope to continue their unbeaten record and bring home the title of U12 champions. They will face John Lockes in the Final. Details to be confirmed. Keep an eye on the page and texts for details regarding the final.
The future is certainly bright for St Brigid’s thanks to these young stars!

The U14 girls have finished up for this year, all girls were only brilliant. Started off with Féile getting into a Final against the Boro making these St. Brigid’s U14s second best for Kilkenny. We had another Féile in Clara, this was for all teams that were second in their county. We played Dublin, Tipperary and Galway, a brilliant day was had by all. Read more
Great end to the year for our Under 10’s
Our girls played Urlingford for their last match of the season Wednesday evening. It was a great evening, the girls played great and came out with the win! Each girl was presented with a hurling ball and a certificate for their hard work this year. We had a great year with the girls, they have all improved so much and we are already looking forward to what’s to come next year. Well done girls we are so proud of you all!

A lovely way to finish up the U8 Camogie Session at Danesfort Family Fun Day. We played three tough competitive games against Clara, Danesfort and Ballyhale coming out on top of all three games. The girls worked really hard today and all year showed great attendance at training and all their matches. Thanks to parents for ongoing support. The future looks bright for this super bunch of Camogie players👏🏼👏🏼
U6 Camogie:
We finished our season on Wednesday 28th with a hard fought match v Tullaroan in Kilmanagh. The evening finished with goodies and presentation of a sliotar from the club to each girl to practice the skills they learned over the summer. Attendance at training/matches was excellent throughout the summer and hopefully we’ll see the girls back next April for more fun.
