After a great league final win a lot was expected of the St. Brigid’s girls in this championship quarter final. The first half was off to a tough start, Gowran were strong across the field. St. Brigid’s took an early lead with a goal from Siún Corcoran in the opening minutes of the match. Read more

Our U8’s travelled to Croke Park on the 15th of July to play Rathdowney Errill in a Go Games challenge. A panel of 17 travelled, along with family members via Ronan Brothers Coaches. Upon arrival in Croke Park, the team were privileged to tog out and see the Croke Park dressing rooms before running on to the sacred turf. They played a 40 minute game with each player getting to play a full half.
Under 16 Hurling Tier Match v Lisdowney, 24/07/14
Graigue Ballycallan under 16s played Lisdowney in a tier knockout match in Kilmanagh last Thursday. Despite missing a few players, those who took to the field showed huge character and determination. Read more

Well done to Graigue Ballycallan U13 Boys on reaching the Quarter Finals of the Lisdowney Sevens, they now play James Stephens on Saturday 2nd August, time to be advised.

Intermediate Hurling League – Round 4- 11th July 2014
In Windgap last Friday GBC played Dunnamaggin in the fourth round of the intermediate hurling league.
Minor Hurling League Round 3 8th July 2014
Graigue-Ballycallan minors recently travelled down south to face Mullinavat in an entertaining third round league match which ended in a draw. Read more

Graigue Ballycallan’s U-16 team recently returned to winning ways over a stern Slieverue side in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh. A determined G.B.C began in good form following a number of tough training sessions and challenge matches. The teams started trading scores from the throw-in before G.B.C began to take control scoring 1-3 without reply with Geordan Davis scoring a fine goal and a point to leave the scoreline standing at 1-6 to 0-3 in favour of the Kilmanagh side. Athletics Club
A meeting will be held in relation to the set up of an athletics club in the parish on Wednesday the 9th July at 8pm in the clubrooms in Kilmanagh. This meeting is open to all that are interested. The club will be for all ages and fitness levels so all are welcome! Spread the word!
