Graigue Ballycallan 3-22 Cloneen/Railyard 0- 8
Graigue Ballycallan ran out comprehensive winners against Cloneen/Railyard in Palmerstown on Monday 7th August in the Championship 1st Round. After an uncertain few minutes the lads settled in and raced to an early lead thanks to great link up play in the forward lines. On the night the backs dealt with any attacks at ease and kept their opponents to shooting from distance. Read more
U12 Coolderry Tournament – Saturday 12/08/2017
Well done to our U12’s who won the Fr. Kennedy cup in Coolderry on Saturday 12th August. They beat hosts Coolderry in the opening match on a scoreline of 4-12 to 3-3.
In the semi-final the boys played Ballygunner of Waterford . After a tight match the lads progressed to the final winning 4-5 to 3-6.
In the final they faced Clooney-Quinn from Co. Clare. Again this was a tough match with the lads doing well and they won 7-5 to 4-4 – Report by Philip Cody
Minor All Ireland Semi Final – Sunday 06/08/2017
We are so so proud to have 5 lads from our club involved with the Kilkenny Minor panel when they take on Galway in the Minor All Ireland Semi Final in Croke Park tomorrow Sunday 6th August 2017. The very best of luck to Tommy Ronan, Conor Flynn, Sean Ryan, Jesse Roberts and Killian Egan, the whole parish is behind ye! Throw-in is 1.30pm and the match will be shown live on TG4.

MINOR NEWS

The long awaited minor season kicked off on the 6th July last. A myriad of circumstances beyond the management’s control this year had seen serious disruption to their training plans for this group of players. However, they put this behind them as their match against town side Dicksboro opened. A very strong first half display saw them take a six point lead into the break. However this lead was to prove short-lived and an improved Dicksboro ran out worthy winners at the end.

Presentation to U14 Féile team – 15/06/2017
Féile U14 team in Kilamangh. Intermediate Captain, Darragh Egan and club player Billy Ryan presented each player with the Official Féile Programme and a Club Souvenir Programme (compiled by Siobhan O’Brien). The club would like to wish the boys the very best of luck this weekend.
U10 GO GAMES – NOWLAN PARK – 10/05/2017
Our U10 Hurlers competed in the Go Games Finals in a windy Nowlan Park on Saturday 10th May.
We had a 21 strong squad which was split into 2 teams.
We were playing James Stephens. The lads put in 2 great performances against the Village.
They also got to test their football skills for the final ten minutes.

Graigue Ballycallan 4-6 Rower-Inistioge 0-11
Graigue Ballycallan finished out their busy League schedule with a little silverware after getting the better of southern stronghold Rower-Inistioge in the Shield Final. The game was played in very difficult conditions with persistent rain falling all through, but this was certainly not to dampen the enthusiasm from both sets of players. Graigue Ballycallan 2-9 Mullinavat 0-13
Graigue Ballycallan U16s finished out a hectic League campaign when they travelled south on Bank Holiday Monday evening to play Mullinavat. Still struggling with injuries they set out to finish on a high note after succumbing to their first league defeat to Danesfort in the previous days. This game had taken a lot out of the lads and it showed in the early exchanges where Mullinavat were on top and had the better in many sectors on the pitch. Read more
