Friday evening, 16-9-2016, saw the conclusion of St Brigid‘s U12 season where they lined up against a very talented and determined James Stephens side in the Roinn A U12 County Final. A large Ballycallan crowd came to support the girls, this made the final feel like a home fixture and there is no doubt they acted as the 16th man that is often heard in post match interviews with elite athletes at top level sport, but this was something more than that, this was about parish pride and supporting your own, a concept that makes GAA and Camogie unique. What a win for our fantastic U12s!!!! They beat James Stephens 8-5 to 1-3 last Friday 16th in the County Final. Well done girls for all your effort throughout the year! A special thank you to Mary Ronan, Stephen Delaney & Mary East for all their hard work with the team!
Thank you very much to the massive crowd that turned out for the girls.
The future of the club is safe with these girls coming up the ranks!

It was the U10’s final training session for 2016 last Monday 19th September. There was a fantastic turnout by all the girls, all 22 turned up and put in a mighty effort to finish out the season. Nothing new with this group of girls, all year even when things didn’t go their way they dug deep and gave it everything they had, and finished each match with great strength and massive heart. Each and every one of them are a credit to themselves, their families and their club and are a pleasure to train. Their futures are very bright. Read more
Hard luck to our Intermediates who narrowly missed out on an All-County League title. They played Glenmore in Mullinavat on Saturday 3rd September.
Glenmore were first on the scoreboard with two points in quick succession shortly after the throw in. However, the girls did not let this unsettle them and Laureena Murphy got a rasper of a goal in the 6th minute to kick off the girls scoring. Read more
Don’t forget to come out and show your support for our Under 12 girls in their County Final clash against The Village this Friday evening, throw-in 6.15pm in the Kells Road pitch. Best of luck to all involved 🔵⚪
A massive congratulations to Aisling Dunphy and Ciara Murphy and the Kilkenny Senior and Intermediates who both won their All-Ireland’s last Sunday 11th September.
The Intermediate’s won their second ever title by beating Cork by a point which went right to the final whistle.
It was to be a great day for Kilkenny as the Seniors came out on top also, ending the 22 year wait for the O’Duffy cup and putting a stop to Cork’s 3 in a row bid! It’s fantastic to have club players on the teams and we are all very proud of both of the girls! Well done to all involved, players and management!
