A huge thank you to everyone who supported the 40th anniversary celebrations on Friday 10th November. It was attended by a great crowd and we hope everyone had a fantastic night. Thank you to the organising committee led by John Cahill, to Springhill for hosting the event, the room was beautifully decorated! To Angela Downey for presenting the medals to our county champions and the gifts to our All Ireland medallists. Thank you to Francis Rothwell, Kay Ryall and Grace Dunphy for their lovely video messages from abroad which proved to be a lovely suprise for their families and to The Aces Showband for providing the music. Underage county camogie medal presentation
St Brigid’s underage county players from u13 to u16 attended their medal presentation last Sunday in Springhill Hotel. Well done to Moya O’Brien, Claire Doheny, Lauren East, Kate McCluskey, Reece Delaney, Ellie O’Neill, Roisin Casey, Caragh Keating, Tara Ronan, Isabelle Caldbeck and Molly Butler on agreat year with the Kilkenny squads! Let’s hope 2018 is a successful year again for all our players at county level!
St. Brigids intermediate player of the year
Congratulations to our Player of the Year Amy O’Connor! Amy has been a force to be reckoned with at centre back all year. A great leader and motivator for the girls whose consistency and work rate proves this award is well deserved! Voted by the players and the award was sponsored by Ballykeefe Distillery. St Brigids Camogie Club AGM 2017 will be held on Friday November 24th at 8pm in the clubrooms. Nominations for executive committee positions to be sent in writing to the Secretary by November 20th.
Leinster Intermediate Camogie Club Championship vs Myshall 15/10/17
Our Intermediates took on Myshall, the Carlow champions, in the Leinster Intermediate Club Championship Quarter Final on Sunday 15th October in Tom Ryall Park in front of a large home crowd. It was going to be a tough battle as Myshall are last years All-Ireland Intermediate club winners. Read more

On Sunday 8th October our intermediates took on Clara in the Marble City Travel Intermediate County Final in the MW Hire Training Centre, Dunmore. A fantastic crowd showed up to support the girls in what turned out to be a magnificent day for the club. Read more
Intermediate camogie county champions!!!
After a 15 year drought, our Intermediate Camogie team have won the County Final in the same year the club is 40 years old. What an achievement! They took on Clara in the MW Hire Training Centre in Dunmore on Sunday 8th October. After a thrilling battle the final score was St. Brigid’s 1-13 Clara 1-11. Well done to all the girls and management who have worked so hard this year to get to where they are. Well done also to Eimear Keoghan who was presented with the Player of the Match award also. Foundation Coaching Course Nov 4th
In order for clubs to get new coaches qualified for working with teams for the upcoming year, Kilkenny Camogie are running a Foundation Coaching Course, Saturday Nov 4th, venue is Blacks and Whites GAA Club. Times and details to follow.
Cost is €25 per student and max number is 24.

Please support our Intermediate Camogie team who compete in the County Final this Sunday against Clara. Throw in at 11.40am in the MW Hire Training Centre in Dunmore. We know Sunday will be a busy day for all but please encourage friends and family to come to support the girls as they hope to take the silverware home to the club & achieve Senior status for next year. Intermediate camogie semi final 1/10/17
Well done to St. Brigid’s Intermediate Camogie team who are through to the County Final after a great Semi Final win over Gowran. After losing by two points to Gowran two weeks previous, the girls were out for revenge and were determined to book a place in this year’s final. Read more
