Intermediate camogie league champs!

Well done to our Intermediate camogie team who beat a tough Tullaroan side in the League Final on Saturday 29th August in Clara. The girls proved too strong though and showed great determination and nerve to come out on top. A huge thank you to all who came to support the girls on the day, it was fantastic to see such a great crowd. U-8 camogie news -Family Fun Day blitz

There was great excitement at the Family Fun Day for the U8 girls who took part in the camogie tournament alongside the U8 boys.

25 girls showed up before 12 o’clock to don the St Brigid’s jersey and march behind the Ballycallan Fife and Drum band, watched by their proud parents and supporters.
With such a large group, we had two teams, a white team and a blue team. Read more

Intermediate camogie through to league final

Well done to our Intermediate camogie team who beat St. Anne’s in the League Semi Final on Saturday 22nd August. It was a very tough game but the girls eventually came out on top after a burst of excellent play in the last fifteen minutes of the game. From the whistle, it was clear it wasn’t going to be an easy game but St. Brigid’s kicked off the scoring when Aisling Dunphy converted a 45 after 4 minutes. Read more

U-10 camogie news

Last Saturday 4th July saw the under 10 girls travel to Ballyhale for their 2nd blitz of the season. The sun was shining and so was every one of the 12 players. Micky Dermody was going to be busy when Nada Power and Ella Delahunty set the tone, that we were a fast and tough bunch. Butsy(Sarah), Has(Hannah) and Titch(Kirsten) were 3 little flyers as they pulled hard for every ball, Ballyhale didn’t stand a chance. Read more

This weekend’s county action

Best of luck to all those in county action tomorrow, Saturday 4th July.
Aisling Dunphy and the seniors play Derry in Swatragh, Derry at 2.30pm.
The intermediates along with Therese Muldowney and Ciara Murphy kick off their championship campaign against Kildare in Thomastown at 2.30pm.
Eimear Keoghan and Eadaoin Murphy are on the u-16 team who face Galway in Birr at 4.15pm. Best of luck to all.

Also, good luck to Tara Ronan and Sinead Murphy who were picked to play in the mini 7’s in Croke Park on Sunday at the Leinster hurling finals.
