Reposing at his home from 6pm. on Saturday. Funeral Prayers on Monday at 9.30am at his home followed by removal to St. John’s Church for 10.30am Requiem Mass, burial afterwards in St. Kieran’s Cemetery. Rosary on Sunday at 7pm at his home. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Motor Neuron Disease Association.

St Brigids Camogie club AGM 8/12/18
St. Brigid’s Camogie Club AGM took place on Saturday the 8th of December 2018.
The chairman John Cahill congratulated and thanked the players, management and mentors of all the camogie team especially the U14 and U16 teams on their success throughout the year. Also congratulations was given to the Senior Camogie team on winning the Leinster league in the spring. Congratulations were wished to all the girls that represented St. Brigid’s Camogie Club at county Intermediate level, underage squads, national Féile competition and school’s competitions. The future is bright for camogie in our parish.

St Brigids Camogie Club AGM
St Brigids Camogie Club AGM takes place on Saturday 8th December 2018 at 8.15 pm in the clubrooms. Nominations for executive can be sent to secretary Carmel Brennan, Ballycuddihy, Kilmanagh.
A guest speaker will be present on the night, Martin Murphy Kilkenny senior hurling team dietitian. It is imperative that at least one parent from each family is in attendance as a matter of courtesy to our club and to our speaker who is giving freely of his time for the benefit of our club members.

St. Brigid’s Camogie would like to inform you that the DEFIBRILLATOR currently at Mary O’Connor’s shop Kilmanagh will be moved to the external wall of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church Kilmanagh on the weekend of 17th November.

Funeral Arrangements for the late David Boland, Harristown, Nurney, Co.Kildare (nephew of Pat Boland). Reposing at his home from 2 to 8pm on Wednesday, followed by the rosary. Requiem Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, Nurney, on Thursday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in St Brigid’s Cemetery,Nurney.

All Ireland Schools 7’s Success for St Brigid’s girls!
Congrats to Reece Delaney (Capt), Ellie O’Neill and Lauren Ronan who won the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools 7’s competition with Presentation Secondary School Kilkenny on Thursday last. Representing Leinster and beating the Munster, Connaught and Ulster teams. The girls beat Our Lady’s of Down in the Final on a score line of 5-7 to 3-12!
Congrats to all involved!
U16 Roinn A Champions presented with half zips by Eddie Brennan
St. Brigid’s Ballycallan Kilkenny Roinn A U16 Champions being presented with their Bourke Sports Half Zips by Kilkenny and fellow Graigue Ballycallan GAA Club star Eddie Brennan! Many thanks to Eddie for making the presentation to the girls prior to their fantastic Championship win a few weeks ago!
U16 Roinn A League Final 18/10/18
Thursday the 18th of October in Mooncoin, under lights, was the unusual setting and venue for this fixture. After days of trying to find a suitable venue Mooncoin came up trumps and hosted the final. In ideal surrounds Mooncoin was in splendid condition and the opportunity to hurl under lights was welcomed by all the girls.

U16 Roinn A County Title for St. Brigid’s!
Last Saturday morning 6th October 2018, in a sun drenched Bennettsbridge, St. Brigid’s defied all the odds to beat Thomastown and be crowned U16 Roinn A Champions. It was a remarkable achievement for a team who competed in Roinn B last year.

Leinster Sevens success for St Brigids girls!
Congratulations to our Ballycallan girls Lauren Ronan, Reece Delaney (Captain) and Ellie O’Neill who won the Leinster Sevens Camogie tournament this week beating Loreto Killenny 7-5 to 4-2 in the final. The girls now go on to represent Leinster in the All Ireland on the 17th of October. Best of luck girls!
