The girls gave everything they had on the pitch this morning and showed great promise for this season. A special word of thanks to the parents who provided refreshments for the visiting teams and who helped out in the kitchen. Thanks also to Amy O’Brien who was great to help us out refereeing and Maurice for having the pitch and dressing rooms ready for us. Much appreciated!
St. Brigid’s U8 girls had their first Camogie Blitz of 2018 in St. Kieran’s College on Sunday the 6th of May. Bishop Dermot Farrell presented the girls with their medals. The girls competed in 3 games on the day against Paulstown/Goresbridge, St. Fiacres and Windgap. The girls showed great pride in their St Brigid’s jersey and played their hearts out! Our next Go Games will be in Kilmanagh in early June. Well done girls!
St Brigid’s U12 camogie team hosted their own blitz today Saturday 3rd of May at home in Kilmanagh. There is a panel of 22 girls this year and 15 outstanding girls came today to play for the U12’s of St Brigid’s.
Two very hard games were played against formidable opposition. First up was Dicksboro playing 12 minutes a-side. In the second game we were up against Freshford, this proved to be a very hard game but the girls played with great determination and heart throughout.
To all the girls today you were only brilliant! We would like to extend a big thanks to our referee Mary Murphy East for officiating the games so well and also thanks to Maurice Ronan for setting out the pitch for us. A big thanks also to all the parents who helped prepare the tea and refreshments. Thanks all, here’s to our next match, St Brigid’s abú!

In the second game the girls faced Young Ireland’s. This game finished Young Ireland’s 3-2 to St Brigid’s 2-2 . Unfortunately the girls lost that game in the last second of play but showed great team work throughout.

Last Saturday 30th September, saw the end to the U12’s 2017 season with an away game against Urlingford in the Shield Final.
Excitement was in the air as we began the game and each and every member of the panel fought their little hearts out for the blue and white jersey. Our girls must be admired for their hard work as they fought hard for every ball in a tough battle. Even with all this determination, unfortunately it wasn’t our day on Saturday.
We would like to thank the girls for being such a delightful, energetic and enthusiastic group to work with throughout the year. Read more

What a wonderful day the U10 camogie girls had on Sunday last 10th Sept. We departed the pitch in Kilmanagh at 9.30am with an excited bus load of players, brothers, sisters, friends, Mammies and Daddies. Spirits were high as we travelled to Kilmacud Crokes to play a match, especially after our Intermediates had such glory in the All Ireland 7’s the day before. Well done! Read more
