Christmas message from the Chairman
Christmas message 2016 from the Chairman
As 2016 draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our players, mentors and our many supporters a Happy and Peaceful Christmas. A sincere thanks to everyone who both helped and supported the club in any way during the past year.
Next year 2017 is a year of opportunity for our club both on and off the field. I wish all our players and mentors the best of luck as we strive to compete at the highest level possible in all grades, both adult and juvenile.
With this in mind and following on from our recent open meeting, I and my fellow officers are putting the final touches to our Five Year Strategic Plan. At the meeting there were many ideas put forward that I am sure will make the playing experience more enjoyable and beneficial to all our players in both hurling and camogie.
However in order to bring an enhanced facility to fruition, we will require a complete buy in from all our members, players and parents of our rapidly growing juvenile section. The excellent facilities we enjoy at present, were made possible by a dedicated committee and hard-working parents who started their venture with a mere £17.00 in the bank in 1992.
I believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that the club we pass on to future generations will conform to the highest possible standard. In trying to attain this aspiration I must stress that it is neither, mine or the committee’s intention to saddle anybody with financial debt.
We will do it in the following manner:
Discuss ,Design, Decide, and Fundraise and then with enthusiasm, build for the future.
Thank you.
Dave O’Neill
Chairman.
