Congratulations to Eoin Delahunty, Stephen Keoghan and Oisín Egan on winning the Junior A Leinster Final with St. Kieran’s College last week. They beat Good Counsel on a scoreline of 3-12 to 3-4. They now play Gort of Galway in the All Ireland Semi Final this Saturday.

Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Hurling Final
Since winning the Intermediate Semi-Final with a fantastic come-back against Southern rivals Glenmore, all eyes were on the final where St. Patrick’s awaited. While our efforts fell a little short on the day, it was an occasion savoured by club and parish alike. Intermediate Hurling Championship Semi Final – GBC v Glenmore – 08/10/2017
What a day we had yesterday with our Intermediate hurlers getting to the County Final. They beat Glenmore 2-18 to 2-12 and will be up against St Patrick’s Ballyragget on Sunday 22nd October in the final. Match report to follow.

Family Fun and Sports Evening – Saturday 2/09/2017

The Annual Family Fun Day which was postponed recently due to inclement weather took place on Saturday evening last 02/09/2017. Despite the postponement, a large crowd turned up in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh to support the club’s fund-raiser. The club had been busy since early morning as the first ever Billy Malone Memorial U17 Camogie Tournament was in progress. The tournament has been established to honour the memory of Billy, a great supporter of camogie in Kilkenny and who was also a trustee of the hurling club.

GBC to be represented in Croke Park on All Ireland Sunday
Graigue-Ballycallan will be represented on the pitch in Croke Park on this All-Ireland Sunday!!
The 1992 and 1993 Kilkenny All-Ireland winning hurling teams will be honoured at half-time and introduced to the crowd.
Our very own Adrian Ronan will fly the flag for our club!!! Enjoy the day Ronnie!!
We also have Billy Dowling playing at half-time, best of luck Billy and all the Dowlings, enjoy this great experience!
Family Fun and Sports Evening
The re-scheduled Family Fun Day 2017 will now be held on this Saturday 2nd September commencing at 3pm. The annual club fund-raiser will be preceeded by the inaugural U17 Billy Malone Memorial Camogie Tournament. All the usual attractions will be there, Where will Winnie Pooh???, Bric-a-Braq, the popular raffle for a large trailer of sticks and of course the eagerly awaited Timber Auction. In addition there will be a sports evening for all U6, U8, U10, U12 children, races and novelty races. For the older ones, there will be skills competitions with prizes for the winners. The barbeque and kitchen will be in full swing so save on the cooking and come and join us for your evening tea.!! The annual Billy Ronan Tournament will be played at six o’clock where our Intermediates will take on the Danesfort Senior team. So come along and support the Family Fun and Sports Evening 2017. Entry is free to all.!!

Minor All Ireland Semi Final – Sunday 06/08/2017
We are so so proud to have 5 lads from our club involved with the Kilkenny Minor panel when they take on Galway in the Minor All Ireland Semi Final in Croke Park tomorrow Sunday 6th August 2017. The very best of luck to Tommy Ronan, Conor Flynn, Sean Ryan, Jesse Roberts and Killian Egan, the whole parish is behind ye! Throw-in is 1.30pm and the match will be shown live on TG4.
