Billy Ronan Memorial Tournament
On Sunday 29th June the final of the Billy Ronan Memorial Tournament was contested by Graigue Ballycallan and Lisdowney. The game took off at lightening pace with Graigue Ballycallan scoring 1-1 in the first 5 minutes. The scores kept coming for the home side and after 10 minutes GBC held a 1-4 to 0-2 lead over Lisdowney. Read more

Intermediate Hurling League – Round 3 – 16th May 2014
On Friday night last, Graigue Ballycallan intermediate team travelled to Tullaroan hoping to improve on their draw against St. Lachtain’s in the previous match. This time Emeralds provided the opposition.
In the third minute, Willie O’Connor burst through the Emerald’s defence for a fine individual goal. Read more
Intermediate Hurling League – Round 2 – 10th May 2014
Graigue-Ballycallan played St. Lachtain’s of Freshford in the second round of the Intermediate hurling league last Saturday night in Palmerstown. In monsoon-like conditions, GBC played with a gale at their backs in the first half. Seven minutes in, St. Lachtain’s broke through the GBC defence for a goal. Read more
Junior A Hurling League North Semi-final, 03/05/14.
Graigue Ballycallan and Gowran played an exciting, skillful brand of hurling in the Junior A North semi-final, on Saturday evening last in St. John’s Park. GBC were flying from the throw in and led by nine points to two midway through the first half, a long-range effort from Shane Butler being the pick of the scores. Read more

Dicksboro 1-14
On a breezy Saturday afternoon in Tom Ryall Park, Graigue Ballycallan Junior B team took on Dicksboro. Graigue started well going ahead after a James Gleeson point. However, Dicksboro made use of the wind and began to score freely with some good long-range points. GBC did not lie down though and regained the lead with a hard-fought goal from Padraig Murphy. On Sunday afternoon last in Tom Ryall Park, GBC played St. Martin’s in the Junior B hurling league. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half GBC held the upper hand around the middle, with Eoin Corcoran, Conor Hogan and Eamonn Egan dominating. Read more
North Junior A Hurling League Rd 3 – 26/04/14
Graigue Ballycallan 2-18 Emeralds 2-17
After a day of torrential rain, the sun came out for a perfect evening for hurling. Emeralds of Urlingford were the hosts in the 3rd and final round of the North Junior A Hurling League. Graigue Ballycallan knew that a win would guarantee a top of the table finish regardless of other results. Read more
North Junior B Hurling League Rd 3 – GBC v Barrow Rangers

On Easter Monday, April 20th the Graigue Ballycallan Junior B team came up against Barrow Rangers on a windswept day in Tom Ryall Park.
With a significant breeze behind them in the first half, Barrow Rangers dominated the scoreline, putting over 6 points from play and could have had a goal or 2 from play had it not been for some fine goalkeeping from Padraig Dunphy. Read more

On Saturday evening in Jenkinstown GBC played Conahy Shamrocks in the Junior A hurling league. Graigue played with the breeze and scored 1-4 in the first 13 minutes. Conor Murphy set up Willie O’Connor for the first goal and minutes later Jason Dermody for the second. Read more

Graigue Ballycallan intermediate hurlers were denied a first win of the new season against a high-flying Lisdowney in Urlingford on Sunday evening. After months of hard training and preparation it was finally time to get the campaign underway. Read more
