Graigue Ballycallan intermediates recently came up short against an impressive Conahy Shamrocks following a below par performance in Freshford. The winners laid the foundations for victory in the first half putting in a strong half hour against a strong breeze. Graigue were always facing an uphill battle and although they still had a great chance in the last ten minutes, a strong Conahy finish ensured the points would go back to Jenkinstown. Read more

Graigue Ballycallan were in fine form last Sunday as they began their 2015 intermediate campaign, with a deserved win against Thomastown in a rematch of the previous year’s quarter final. The Kilmanagh side began at a blistering pace, racing into a four point lead during the opening seven minutes. Read more
A wet and windy Nowlan park was the venue, GBC and St. Patrick’s Ballyragget the contestants, in this Intermediate Hurling semi-final. Playing into a gale in the opening half, GBC found scores very hard to come by and a point from play each from Eddie Brennan and Philly Cahill was a worrying sight on the half time scoreboard. Ballyragget had eight points on the board, most of them from frees and our only hope was that the breeze might help to produce a GBC fight back. Read more
Graigue Ballycallan’s Intermediate team returned to Palmerstown to face Thomastown on Sunday afternoon last with the memory of last year’s disappointment at the same venue still lingering. Philly Cahill had three unanswered points on the board from frees within five minutes, but GBC’s hard work was cancelled out on seven minutes, when John Joe Farrell picked up possession on the twenty-one yard line and slotted home a goal. Thomastown added three unanswered points, before Philly steadied the ship with a pointed free, GBC 0-4, Thomastown 1-3. Read more

On Saturday the 13th of September, Graigue Ballycallan’s Intermediate team began their quest to return to the senior grade in the Kilkenny Intermediate Championship following a disappointing League campaign. A tigerish final twenty minutes in Ballyhale, saw G.B.C book their place in the quarter finals, as well as retain their intermediate status for 2015. Read more
In Windgap last Friday GBC played Dunnamaggin in the fourth round of the intermediate hurling league.

On Sunday 29th June the final of the Billy Ronan Memorial Tournament was contested by Graigue Ballycallan and Lisdowney. The game took off at lightening pace with Graigue Ballycallan scoring 1-1 in the first 5 minutes. The scores kept coming for the home side and after 10 minutes GBC held a 1-4 to 0-2 lead over Lisdowney. Read more
On Friday night last, Graigue Ballycallan intermediate team travelled to Tullaroan hoping to improve on their draw against St. Lachtain’s in the previous match. This time Emeralds provided the opposition.
In the third minute, Willie O’Connor burst through the Emerald’s defence for a fine individual goal. Read more
Graigue-Ballycallan played St. Lachtain’s of Freshford in the second round of the Intermediate hurling league last Saturday night in Palmerstown. In monsoon-like conditions, GBC played with a gale at their backs in the first half. Seven minutes in, St. Lachtain’s broke through the GBC defence for a goal. Read more

Graigue Ballycallan intermediate hurlers were denied a first win of the new season against a high-flying Lisdowney in Urlingford on Sunday evening. After months of hard training and preparation it was finally time to get the campaign underway. Read more
