U12 Go Games Round-up

Report by Willie Egan
GBC first U12 Go Games fixture started on an away trip to Young Ireland’s on Sat 25th July resulting in a loss after the lads started well. Young Ireland’s just had that bit extra in front of goal.
For first time teams from Co Laois were entered into Kilkenny GO GAMES, next up for GBC was the visit of Abbeyleix to Tom Ryall Park. This was a very entertaining match, the two teams were well matched and it ended in a good win for GBC.

Lisdowney Sevens – Saturday 25 July 2015

Report by Niall Egan

Our U13’s took to Lisdowney on Saturday the 25th of July in perfect hurling conditions for the annual Lisdowney 7’s Tournament. Our first round game saw us meet a strong Dicksboro side. A keenly fought first half meant  scores  were at a premium, with the ‘Boro opening  the scoring before Oisín Egan and Paddy Brennan put GBC one point up. Paddy was unlucky to have a goal disallowed before the half time whistle. Discksboro got the final score of the half to leave it 2 points a-piece at half time. Read more
