Our club hosted the annual Billy Ronan Memorial Tournamant on 28th July in Tom Ryall Park. Graigue Ballycallan were up against a much stronger O’Loughlin Gaels team who ran out easy winners on a scoreline of 5-19 to 1-8. U13B Hurling League 26/07/2019 – GBC V Piltown
GBC U13’s travelled to Piltown to play our final league game on 26th July. Again GBC got off to a poor start conceding 1-3 before we eventually got on the scoreboard after 15 minutes. Our backs began to get on top which allowed more possession for the forwards, both sides traded points for the remaining half . HT Score: Piltown 1-7, GBC 0-5. The 2nd half was evenly balanced when Piltown’s No.14 won possession on the edge of the square and sent an unstoppable shot to the net with 7 minutes remaining. At the other end Piltown’s keeper pulled off two point blank saves to deny us a goal. Overall Piltown were a stronger/balanced team and ran out deserving winners. FT Score: Piltown 2-13, GBC 0-11. Declan Byrne Memorial U14 Tournament – Sunday 4th August 2019
On Sunday 4th of August we hosted the annual Declan Bryne Under 14 Memorial Tournament with 6 teams competing. We had 2 groups of 3 with Graigue Ballycallan, Clara and Fermoy in Group 1 and O’Loughlin’s, Dicksboro and Tullogher Rosbercon in Group 2.

Our annual U14 Declan Byrne Memorial Tournament will take place this Sunday 4th August commencing at 10am in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh. Details of match times and Group details below:

Games will be 15 minutes a-side, umlimited subs, full hurling, 2 points for win, 1 point for a draw.
If teams are level it will go on head-to-head, then scoring difference

Family Fun Day – Sunday 11th August 2019
Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club and St. Brigid’s Camogie Club are holding their Annual Family Fun Day and Firewood Auction on Sunday 11th August 2019 in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh. This is one of the Club’s main fundraisers and all proceeds go towards our running costs. This year we will have all the usual attractions, Under-Age Hurling and Camogie blitz, sports events, cross-bar challenge and of course the ever popular “Where will Winnie Pooh”. Read more

The newly appointed GAA Fixtures Calendar Review Task Force have commenced their work under the chair of Eddie O’Sullivan.
As part of this process, submissions from the membership of the Association are welcome to be made and can be sent to calendarreview@gaa.ie.

U13 B Hurling League – 12/7/2019 – GBC v Glenmore
Round 4 of the Roinn B League saw Ggraigue Ballycallan take on Glenmore on Friday 12th in a sunny Tom Ryall Park. A minutes silence was impeccably observed prior to throw-in for the late Tom Brennan who’s nephew Martin plays with this team.
GBC started very well scoring 1-1 in the opening 5 minutes, a goal coming from Ben Young after a lovely handpass from Keelan Lynch. Glenmore responded with the next 3 points before Ben McEvoy won possession and crossed for midfielder Paidí Egan who raised the green flag to leave it GBC 2-1, Glenmore 0-3 after 15 minutes. Glenmore scored 2 points, before Ben Young buried a goal from 20 yards. Half Time GBC 3-2, Glenmore 0-6. Read more
