GBC U13’s made the journey south last Tuesday to play Tullogher Rosbercon in Round 5 of the Roinn B Hurling League. The home side started brightly scoring 1-2 in the opening 5 minutes, our boys worked hard to get themselves back into the match and only trailed by 3 points nearing the end of the first half only to concede 1-1 on the stroke of half time. Half Time GBC 0-4, Tullogher 2-5.
Playing against a strong breeze the GBC boys played to dominate the opening 20+ minutes of the 2nd half. Again they got back within 3 points of the home side but couldn’t get a goal which their play deserved. Tullogher got their 3rd goal 7 minutes from the end which stalled our momentum and added another 2 late goals to win out Tullogher 5-7, GBC 0-9. Honest performance from our lads, soft goals at crucial times and our lack of goals gave the Tullogher a flattering winning margin.
