St. Brigid’s Camogie Club AGM took place on Saturday the 8th of December 2018.
The chairman John Cahill congratulated and thanked the players, management and mentors of all the camogie team especially the U14 and U16 teams on their success throughout the year. Also congratulations was given to the Senior Camogie team on winning the Leinster league in the spring. Congratulations were wished to all the girls that represented St. Brigid’s Camogie Club at county Intermediate level, underage squads, national Féile competition and school’s competitions. The future is bright for camogie in our parish.
On the night, the best of luck and thank you was wished to Anne Ging, Carmel Brennan and Sinead Melaniff who have stepped down from their roles on the Commitee, they were thanked for all the hard work they have put in during their tenure. Also best wishes was made to Therese Muldowney who retired this year and is wished all the best for the future.
Lipsync/Fundraising events:
Only 15% of parents supported 2 or more of our fundraising events this year. We need you as parents to support the running of the club for the benefit of your daughters.
The Chairman John Cahill thanked everyone who supported both him and the camogie girls that took part in the Lipsync, and especially the Lipsync and fundraising committee for all the hard work that was put in over the last few months and agreed that a great night was had by all. Thanks was also extended to Ballykeefe Distillery for their continued support throughout the year.
Sympathy was extended to the families of people who died during the year who were all great supporters of St. Brigid’s Camogie Club.
All patrons were informed and asked to inform the rest of the community that the Camogie Defibrillator has been moved from the back of O’Connors shop to the side of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Kilmanagh facing the shop.
New trainers and committee members were announced at the meeting for the coming year. The new committee was elected as follows:
