The annual U14 Paddy Grace competition began on Sunday 25 March. We were drawn to play O’Loughlins and Galmoy/Windgap in the Roinn A qualifiers in St. John’s park. We drew with the home side 1-3 to 6 points Scorers: Ryan Corcoran 1-0, Aaron McEvoy 0-3 (frees), Billy Egan 0-1
In our match against Galmoy/Windgap we won 3-5 to 2-4

As we finished second in the group. we qualified to play Danesfort in the runners-up Semi Final in Bennettsbridge on Good Friday, March 30. The games were only 15 minutes a half, the pitch was heavy and scores were hard to come by. However, we won by 1-3 to 3 points.

In the final we faced Tullogher Rosbercon. After conceeding 2 early goals we fought back to draw the game in normal time, 2-2 each. We played extra time on two 5 minute halves and won by 3 points.

While there was no prize on offer it was great to win these tough games.
