Graigue Ballycallan 3-14 Tullaroan 2-12
Graigue Ballycallan ran out comfortable winners against neighbours Tullaroan on Friday evening in splendid sunshine. The game was played in true sporting style in ideal conditions and Graigue were quick off the mark and registered some well worked scores through Oisín Egan, Scott Lawlor and Jack Butler. After 15 minutes they had raced into an 8 point lead and held this advantage to the break. The mentors who are always keen to use their panel made some switches and Sam, Bill, Mark and Euan joined the fray in the second half and no doubt will give Philly and Tommy plenty of headaches come team selection in the coming weeks with 3 league games to play.
Graigue continued their onslaught on the Tullaroan goal throughout the second 30 and only for some fine saves from the local goalie would have ran out more comfortable winners. Two goals conceded from 30 yard frees late on will be disappointing from a defence which played so well all evening but Graigue Ballycallan were never really in any danger and collected the 2 League points on offer and now sit nicely in joint top of the table with Danesfort.
Impressive on the night were Oisín Egan,(Capt) Simon O’Dwyer, Eamon Corcoran and ever improving Tom Brennan.
