Graigue-Ballycallan Gaa & St. Brigid’s Camogie Club Family Fun Day 2018.
Graigue-Ballycallan GAA Club and St. Brigid’s Camogie Club are holding their Annual Family Fun Day and Firewood Auction on Saturday 1st Sept in Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh. This is one of the Club’s main fundraisers and all proceeds go towards our running costs.
This year we will have all the usual attractions, under-age hurling and camogie blitz, sports events, cross-bar challenge and of course the ever popular “Where will Winnie Pooh”. The big raffle for a Tractor Trailer load of Sticks will take place and with thoughts of the past winter still fresh in memories, this is sure to be a big attraction. The culinary aspect will be well catered for by the Barbeque and all manner of home-made delicious confectionery will be on offer in the kitchen.
This year the club are adding a Used Gear Shop to the mix and many bargains will be available across a broad range of sports gear! Undoubtedly the Massive Firewood Auction attracts large interest and this year will be no different, and if you want to stock up on timber for the coming winter Tom Ryall Park, Kilmanagh is the place to be on the September 1st!!! Proceedings start at 11.45am, so for a fun-filled day for all the family come to the Family Fun Day where a warm welcome awaits!!
Sports Gear Appeal
We are appealing for donations of any used and previously loved items of sports gear that you may have lying around the house gathering dust. In particular we are looking for Jerseys (Any County!!!!No Exceptions!!!), track suits, half-zips, hurls, hurling balls, boots, helmets, gear bags etc. All donations can be left in to the clubrooms or contact Club Secretary Philomena Brennan (086) 0655854. Remember this year we want used SPORTS GEAR ONLY. Thank you for your continued support.
Calling all Home-Bakers
A big part of the Family Fun Day is the opportunity to call in to the kitchen for a cup of tea and to select a bun or slice of cake from the wonderful array of confectionery that local home-bakers produce for the event every year. So the Family Fun Day Committee are calling on all in the parish to get baking and would be very grateful for donations of buns, cakes, tarts etc which will make this year’s culinary display the best so far. Thank you for your continued support
