Report by Niall Egan
We played Glenmore and Conahy Shamrocks recently in our last round of Go Games.
We made the long journey to Glenmore on Saturday 16th May. Glenmore made a strong start, leading 3-1 to no score after 10mins. Our lads finished the half stronger with good scores from Aaron, Elliot and Ryan to leave the score 3-1 to 2-2 at half time. The 2nd half was end to end with scores hard to get. Our backs defended well keeping Glenmore scoreless to win on a scoreline 4-6 to 3-1.
Our match against a young Conahy team was a tougher match than the final scoreline reflects. The boys had to work hard to get their scores. Ben Young in particular turned in a fine 40mins to win out winners 6-4 to 1-0.
The whole panel of 25 boys are coming along nicely as a group and play in Nowlan Park next Saturday v Lisdowney in the final of the Go Games.
