Hard luck to club members Aisling Dunphy and Therese Muldowney who were part of the Kilkenny Senior and Intermediate camogie teams who lost both All-Ireland finals on Sunday 14th September.
Limerick beat the intermediate team by 1-12 to 0-10. They were the better team throughout the game but the Kilkenny girls fought hard and never gave up right to the end. Therese Muldowney played the whole game at corner back where she played well throughout the game. Unfortunately it just wasn’t their day.
Things were looking good for the senior team in the first half going in at half time 5 points up but the game took a turn in Cork’s favour in the 2nd half. They came out winners on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-09. Aisling lined out at no. 11 for the seniors and had a very big part to play in Kilkenny’s goal and was very influential throughout the game.
Hard luck to both teams but they will be a force to reckon with in 2015.
Thank you very much to the 85 supporters that went on buses from the club on Sunday. And to everyone who was involved in the organisation, a great day was had by all despite the results.
